Journey

Our story beggins in September 2022, Jorge Ricardo Afonso attends a craft beer festival in Amsterdam, and by the end of that day, slightly tipsy, he decided to try and make beer himself at home. After a couple of months of research, Jorge still hadn't made the step, but keept talking about it incessantly, which prompted his wife Mafalda, to give him his first brewing kit on that Christmas, just to get him to quiet down a little.

In March 2023 the first beer gets brewed and Beer Life Crisis Brewery is born. It was a traditional Belgium blond ale, and it came out honestly terrible. flat, bitter beyond comparison, just sad... but that didn't stop Jorge's curiosity and he continued trying to perfect the process and understanding what went wrong.
Soon Jorge's curiosity became passion, and he even got some of his work colleagues to get involves and lend a hand to production. Soon the beers started to become delicious and more people were getting involved in the project.
Eventually a mix of differences within the people involved, some of them leaving the country, and personal issues left Jorge once again on his own with the project.

As Jorge was studying Graphics Design, he decided to join both passions in one and the brand had a complete rebranding in mid 2024 that worked also as a school project. 

Currently the plan is to keep perfecting the craft so that one day we feel ready to get this on the shelfs fpr everyone to enjoy.

At Beer Life Crisis Brewery, we believe that great beer should do more than just quench your thirst. It should surprise you, delight you, and maybe even make you laugh. Our brews are crafted with the utmost care and attention, we would rather do nothing then make something meaningless.
